Description
Ninety positions on the collar, and no cord to find.
Portable grinders usually give adjustment away first: a handful of clicks, and you live with whichever one lands closest. The Alien carries a 90-position numbered collar with the brew methods marked on the dial itself, and runs 20 to 25 full grinds between charges.
- You land on the setting, not near it: 90 numbered positions on the adjustment collar, with the brew ranges printed on the dial, French press sits between 65 and 90.
- A charge lasts a trip, not a morning: SIMELO rates the Alien at 20 to 25 full-power grinds per charge, with no cord and no outlet.
- Press once and walk away: one-click start with an automatic stop at the end of the grind, and an indicator light that reads running, charging or fully charged.
- One dose, into a cup that lifts off: 15 g of beans, ground in about 38 seconds, into a removable catching cup.
Who this is for, and who it isn't
A good fit if you want a grinder for travel, an office or a campsite that still lets you set a grind precisely rather than approximately, and you brew one 15 g dose at a time.
Look elsewhere if you brew for two at once, because 15 g is a single cup and the machine is built to stop there. If you want espresso, because SIMELO does not state that this model grinds fine enough for it, and we are not going to assume it does. And if you need the burr diameter, the motor power, the battery capacity or the weight before you commit. SIMELO publishes none of them. Every figure on this page was read off the manufacturer's own product photography, because that is the only documentation this grinder has. We say so in the Specifications rather than let the page imply otherwise.

Where these figures come from, and why it matters. SIMELO publishes no specification sheet for the Alien. The reseller listing we bought against carries six attribute lines: brand, city, "portable", material, origin, and nothing else. Every figure above was read off SIMELO's own product photography, which is the only documentation that exists for this model. We would rather tell you that than present it as a spec sheet.
The following are genuinely unknown, and we will not estimate them: burr diameter, motor power, battery capacity, charge time, charging port, product dimensions and weight. Ask us and we will request them from the supplier in writing before you buy.
SIMELO describes the motor as powerful and the grinding as silent. Neither is a measurement, so neither appears anywhere on this page.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping is free on every order. Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and delivered in 6–8 business days.
The charging port and charger type are not published for this model. If you need to know what cable it takes, or whether a charger is included in the box, ask us before ordering and we will confirm it with the supplier in writing rather than guess.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery under our Refund Policy. There is no restocking fee. If anything about the condition of your order is wrong on arrival, contact us before doing anything else and we will sort it out with you.
Warranty
SIMELO publishes no warranty term for this model, so we do not advertise one. On a battery-powered product that matters more than usual: a cell degrades, and we would rather not imply cover we cannot deliver.
If your unit arrives damaged or fails out of the box, contact us and we will take it up with the supplier on your behalf. If coverage decides your purchase, ask us before ordering and we will get the terms in writing.

What a portable usually gives up first
Take a grinder off the mains and something has to go. Usually it is adjustment. A travel grinder gives you eight or twelve clicks across the whole range from espresso to French press, which is fine until the coffee you brought needs to sit between two of them, and then you have no move to make.
Ninety positions is a different proposition. It is the resolution of a countertop grinder on a machine that runs off a battery, with the brew ranges printed on the collar so you are not counting clicks from a stop. Whether the burrs behind it justify that resolution is a fair question, and one we cannot answer for you: SIMELO does not publish the burr diameter.
Every number on this page came from a photograph
This is the least documented product we sell. There is no manufacturer spec sheet, no published dimensions, no stated burr size, no battery rating. What exists is SIMELO's product photography, which happens to carry real figures printed on it: the 15 g dose, the 38-second grind, the 90-position collar, the 20 to 25 grinds per charge, the six-vane burr shown in close-up.
So that is what the Specifications are built from, and we have said so rather than typing those numbers into a table and letting it look like a datasheet. It also means the gaps are real gaps, not omissions for brevity. If any of them decides your purchase, ask before you order and we will put the question to the supplier in writing.
Frequently asked questions
Start with the brew method, not the spec sheet. Espresso needs a fine, repeatable grind and rewards flat burrs or a stepless conical. Pour-over, drip and French press run coarser and are far more forgiving, so a stepped conical covers all three.
If you are unsure, email us with how you brew and which machine you use. We will tell you whether a grinder fits — and if it does not, which one does.
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and delivered in 6–8 business days after that.
The window is stated before you pay rather than after. If yours passes, email us and we will chase it rather than wait for you to ask twice.
US orders ship with the US plug variant. Where a manufacturer does not publish a voltage or plug type, we say so in the Shipping & Returns section above instead of assuming — and you can email us and we will get it from the supplier in writing before you buy.
Contact us first, with photos or a short video. We take it up with the supplier on your behalf and arrange a replacement or a refund.
Reach us before opening a payment dispute — it is faster, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Yes. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery under our Refund Policy. Contact us before sending anything back — returns received without notice take considerably longer to process.
Not yet as catalogue items. If you need a burr set or a spare for a grinder you bought from us, email us and we will source it from the supplier and quote you.
We would rather tell you that than list parts we cannot reliably ship.
