This page sets out how payment and billing work at Atelier 58. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.
1. Payment methods we accept
You can pay with any of the following at checkout:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club
- PayPal
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Shop Pay
All payments are taken in United States dollars (USD). We do not accept cheques, cash on delivery, cryptocurrency or bank transfer.
2. How payment is processed
- Payment is taken in full at the time you place the order.
- An order is not confirmed, processed or shipped until payment has cleared.
- If a payment is declined, the order is not created and nothing is reserved for you.
3. Prices and currency
Every price on this site is shown in USD. Prices can change without notice, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that order.
Shipping within the United States is free, with no minimum order. Any applicable sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
4. Secure processing
Checkout runs over an encrypted connection and payments are handled by Shopify Payments and the providers listed above. Atelier 58 never sees or stores your full card number. We hold only the order record and the confirmation of payment.
5. Refunds and chargebacks
Refunds follow our Refund Policy and are issued to the original payment method.
If something is wrong with your order, email us before opening a chargeback. We answer within one business day and we would rather fix the problem than argue about it through a bank. Chargebacks opened without contacting us first will be disputed with the payment provider.
6. Fraud prevention
We may hold or cancel an order where the billing details, the shipping address and the payment method do not line up, or where a transaction is flagged as high risk. If that happens we will email you and ask for confirmation rather than simply cancelling in silence.
