Description

The same beans taste different every morning, and the blade grinder chopping them is the reason.

Move to real burrs and the recipe you liked yesterday is still there today, the least expensive place in our range to make that jump.

  • The same cup twice: burrs cut beans to a set size instead of shattering them at random, which is what makes a brew repeatable.
  • A grind that drifts has a fix: if long use pushes your setting coarser, the burrs can be shimmed back to where they were, instead of leaving you to chase the dial every morning.
  • Static has an answer here: in a dry kitchen, a light mist of water on the beans before grinding keeps the grounds from clinging to the chute and scattering across the counter.
  • Espresso through French press, one machine: it covers the way you brew now and the way you'll want to brew next, so trying a new method doesn't mean buying again.

For the everyday drinker leaving blade grinders and pre-ground bags behind. If you're dialing in single-origin shots on a serious espresso machine, this isn't your grinder, a compact conical set won't hold up next to a large flat one, and we'd rather tell you now.

Specifications
  • Burrs: 48 mm conical
  • Housing: aluminium alloy
  • Power: 100–199 W
  • Capacity: under 5 cups per grind
  • Plug: US
  • Roasted beans only, not suitable for green beans

Before your first grind. The burr locks for safety: turn the grind dial clockwise until the indicator light goes out, or the motor will not start. In a dry room, a light mist of water on the beans stops grounds clinging to everything. If the grind drifts coarser after long use, shims bring it back.

Warranty

HiBREW provides a manufacturer warranty of at least 12 months from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse such as overloading or grinding anything other than roasted coffee beans, damage from improper handling or an incorrect power supply, or units that have been partially or fully disassembled.

HiBREW also operates its own customer support team. If you have a warranty issue, contact us first. We will help you rather than send you off to deal with the manufacturer alone.

Why the same beans taste different every morning

It is almost never the beans. A blade grinder shatters them at random, so the particle mix changes from batch to batch, and with it, the cup.

Burrs cut to a set size. That is the whole reason a brew becomes repeatable: you stop guessing and start following a recipe you wrote down.

Who this is not for

If you are dialling in single-origin shots on a serious espresso machine, this is not your grinder. A compact conical set will not hold up next to a large flat one, and we would rather tell you now than after you have paid.

One practical note: in a dry kitchen, a light mist of water on the beans before grinding keeps the grounds from clinging to the chute and scattering across the counter.
